This spring sits on the end of the clutch release bearing shaft on the outside of the gearbox. Often the spring is snapped meaning the clutch pedal doesn't fully return. Top tip : The spring can be replaced without removing the clutch shaft lever arm, You can slip the spring over, wiggle it and lever it into place with a flat blad screwdriver.
