Its hardback, no rips or tears, just light oil stains on the leading edge of pages indicative of actual use - it definitely saved my bacon on a few occasions when I had my old phase two V70 T5! The manual will cover you for most phase two volvos produced between 2004 amd 2007. A really useful resource if you are trying to keep one on the road, even in the age of YouTube and Chat GPT - especially when information is sometimes contradictory- being able to refer back to a torque spec or wiring diagrams is a real help.
