I bought the scanner when I had a Nissan to support DIY maintenance, it worked perfectly for me with the Nissan Qashqai, I've bought another brand specific one probably unnecessarily as the demo pics are of this unit connected to a Seat Ibiza I've never updated the unit but I gather its possible, please do your own checks though, also make sure the unit will do what you want, it's pretty decent, much more than a service light reset tool, see the live data pics. Light use only, in good condition
