If you are using 8 AWG wire with standard plastic insulation like PVC or one of the cross-linked types (TXL, GXL, SXL, etc.) it should fit fine depending on your supplier. If you are using 8 AWG battery cable, it may be pretty tight and require you to drill out the seal depending on how thick your insulation is.
